The International Network for the Reduction of Abortion Discrimination and Stigma (inroads) is a global and diverse community working on ending abortion stigma and discrimination across all levels and in different fields and regions. To support a vibrant community of practice, we are excited to launch the inroads Collaboration Workspace where inroads members can find and share resources, identify and name stigma manifestations, support one another, and participate in discussions as we work collectively to dismantle abortion stigma.

The members-only library contains information, tools, examples, and resources for our work making inroads on abortion stigma and discrimination. This space is designed for members to share drafts and get feedback on in-progress work. Our user guidelines include processes for attribution and privacy in order to encourage us to learn from each other more quickly than waiting for the next peer-reviewed publication while giving our colleagues control over how their work gets shared out. We encourage members to post tools to the resource library in order to share with other members who might be able to use such tools in their communities or to get feedback from other members to make improvements.

In addition to the library, please join in informal sharing about the state of our work, movements, and experiences of abortion stigma, using the discussion forum. When a person seeking abortion talks about encountering stigma, we know that may look and feel different from the stigma experienced as an activist, a provider, a researcher or an artist. Let’s start gathering up some of those global obstacles to see what struggles we share and what we can learn from each other’s unique experiences.

How to get involved

First, join inroads! If you have already joined, then you were automatically added as a listserv subscriber to the inroads Collaboration Space. To access the resource library, discussion forums, and member profiles, simply create a password and log in here. Not sure where to start?
